Greyhounds for Heidi
1st Liberated exhibition in Bohemia
8th July 2009, Prague
Czech famous singer Heidi Janků is going to introduce the Greyhound
Team made by greyhounds Kenzo, Kevel and Moet from Ireland on Greyhound
Day, an international competition, on the 11th of July 2009 at the
greyhound race track Praskačka, Czech Republic.
Also racing greyhounds from the whole Czech Republic and even Austria will
take part in this competition.
The Irish competing team consists of greyhounds from three various irish
kennels and this team is the first participant of the „Greyhounds for
Heidi“ project. Greyhounds from Ireland, UK and Continental Europe,
from countries incorporated in the WGRF world-wide net, will present
themselves subsequently in this project.
The first „GTs“ will take part in the fourth year of the 1st liberated
greyhound exhibition in Bohemia that is, as it is evident from the name,
liberated from usual evaluation techniques used for this breed. The new
evaluation criteria includes the luck element, even the greyhound owner
him/herself may determine the the final placement of a particular
greyhound – see the main webpage –
www.cgdf.cz .
„We do not accept the stereotypes of greyhounds beauty. All greyhounds
are beautiful and any of them may be the winner.“ said Mrs. Ladislava
Jurková the press agent of the CGRF.
Greyhounds may try their luck and try to win a title in Sir, Lady, Golden
Puppy and Golden Senior categories of the GOLDEN GREYHOUND – Design
2009 title.
The evaluation utilities of the art jury, the main jury is Heidi Janků, is
a set of small dice. Results of dice throws of particular members of the
jury are summed, in case of equality of points the greyhound owners
themselves will decide by throwing a big dice. This evaluation technique
eliminates eventual discontent of greyhound owners from subjective
evaluation.
For the first time in the czech greyhound racing and exhibition history a
celebrity became a patron of greyhounds. Heidi regularly moderates the
most prestigious greyhound races at the race track Praskačka and she even
sings songs about greyhounds.
Heidi recorded her first song about greyhounds as early as in 2005 – a
song called „Who is the greyhound – that golden greyhound“ (presented in
TV Nova – Zlatá mříž in January 2006) and she is willing to sing this song
on the Greyhounds Day – the holiday of all greyhounds.
This song had its world-wide opening at the World Greyhound Racing
Federation (WGRF) international conference in Melbourne, Australia.
